lol i will definitely be calling them tomorrow to see what this email is about!

I was thinking about calling… but I din’t know if I even WANT to know lol, i just want a decision

i don’t imagine calling will do much in this case. when asked, i’ll bet their response on the phone would be noncommittal, as even if we are all already accepted they’d want to avoid a collective huzzah from the sea of nervous applicants prior to official notification.

@randolph…no way! Dude…I’m from there too!! What part are you from? The guy’s name is Gustavo Ponce. He went to the Universidad Central.

O sea, pero hablas espanol? Creciste alla o eres descendiente?

@gtarrant yeah I doubt they’d say anything but maybe I could try and squeeze something out of them!

well I mean you are on team U see lawsuit, that should scare some info out of them haha

hell yeah! Threatening them is the way to go!

hahaha yeah that would really get us far… I bet they sent out the email because the admissions committee gets their jollies off of giving us ambiguous info and watching us freak out on CC

yup…the admissions officers have no life so after they finish “working” (basically randomly picking out candidates based on superfluous qualities such as number of letters in their name, or year they were born) they go home to their computers to fanatically read and analyze all our posts, write notes on them, and then go back on monday to discuss them and find different ways to eff up our lives based on what they read the night before…yup, that’s the daily life of an admissions officer :D

pretty much

I just called the UCSB housing department. The email was sent to everyone who has been admitted, as well as anyone who is still waiting on a decision.

So…I’m not jumping to any conclusions from this message, but I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed and stay optimistic :)

I facebooked the UCSB housing department and I was told that all the email was, was a reminder to apply for housing once admitted. It doesn’t mean you’ve been accepted. This is bad news :(.

Oh, don’t be so pessimistic. If you haven’t been rejected yet, then there’s still a chance you might get in. Keep your hopes up!

yeah…I figured as much. Told ya Shell! I knew it was too much to hope for. This is why I didn’t wanna hope. I really didn’t wanna hope, cause then it hurts…screw this crap! Team U SEE LAWSUIT forever!

hahaha Team U See Lawsuit! and it doesn’t mean that we’ve all be rejected!! there has already been a lot of rejections and there are a lot of people waiting to hear, I still have hope

yeah, that’s cause YOU’LL prolly get in. OH well, it was nice while it lasted…

omg, if you don’t get in just appeal once you’ve taken your class! I bet you could do that for UCLA too, have you even called to ask them about it?

Its not pessimism…Its realism. I am completing my first transferable math class this semester. Its bad news.

ditto^^^

I actually did Shell. They said university prereq’s can’t be taken over the summer. I’m pretty screwed…but it’s fine. I’ve come to grips with Oregon. kinda…
