OK guys, I know most of you would say Cal without even thinking, but hear me..
I live in SFV which is basically Los Angeles. It is about an hour driving from SB. I know bunch of people who go to SB and I love the school and environment.
Berkeley is 6 hours driving from where I live, I know no body there and it's freaking far!!!!
Moving away might also hurt my business although I will be able to manage and catch on flights whenever meeting arise.
I'm also afraid that Cal would be packed with nerds, something I was trying to avoid by not applying to MIT/CalTech.
Taking all that into consideration, what do you guys think? I'm dying in here...

Looks like you’re leaning towards UCSB… :)

Berkeley is not far. Being stationed in Europe, Korea, and Kuwait, for 1 to 2 years at a time…that is far. You also don’t know anyone when you get to those places either. You, on the other hand, are able to visit home at any time if you wanted. You should really try and put things in perspective.

I suggest you visit Berkeley’s campus if you haven’t done so yet and go from there. Good luck!
