UCSB or UCI for psychology?

Got accepted into UCSB for psychology (freshman) a couple days ago and waiting for UCI. If I’m admitted to UCI, my top choices are between those two schools.

I’ve always loved UCSB. I just don’t know too much of their psychology program, same for UCI. In the end, I want to choose a school that works the best with my major.
Please help!

Congrats!
they are both fine - go where you want to go … sounds like that’s UCSB.

UCSB is in the process of changing their psychology program. They eliminated their B.A. program and now only offer a B.S. Most UCs offer Cognitive Science as an undergraduate degree but UCSB doesn’t. I think changing their department name from Psychology to the department of Psychological & Brain Sciences (PBS) is their way of moving in that direction. I’m not saying this is good or bad. I’m just sharing the little that I know about the psychology department there.

Are you able to go to their open house on April 13? http://admissions.sa.ucsb.edu/visit-ucsb/open-house It would be a good time to find out more about their psychology department. UCI’s open house is the following weekend. https://admissions.uci.edu/discover/visit/celebrate.php
