UCSB or UCSD for Communications Major?

I am a transfer student still trying to determine what the best school is for me. I have a lot of top choices for my major (Communications) such as USC, UCLA and Chapman, but i am also applying to other UC's to increase my options. A few of the UC's i am planning to apply to are UCSB and UCSD and for those who are familiar with either one of the two, i would love to hear your opinion on both of the departments. A little bit about me: I am planning on getting an undergraduate education in Communications and then most likely going to law school or going the public relations route. Your help is much appreciated!

Q: Which school is better for a communications major - UCSB or UCSD

UCSB is far better. they are renowned for their communications department. this is an easy choice

Comm is an extremely generic major, (and not necessarily highly thought of by law schools). For your purposes, alumni/career services is the key for getting that first job. If you can afford 'SC, I’d give them the easy edge. Advising at UC is weak, at best.
