I'm having a VERY hard time choosing between the two. I've visited both and both schools are amazing. I'm going into premed if that makes a difference. Can I just get different peoples perspectives?

bump, I’m at SB right now, and i love it, but I also love USD,can anyone help?

UCSB for sure USD has a way better campus but UCSB is really nice too and since you’re doing pre med (like me and I’m going there) UCSB would be a better choice because it is better in that field

UCSD or UCD? or are you actually meanin USD?

Thanks for the reply snowspider, i’ve just been concerned with the class sizes and things like that

pscholler, yes i am talking about UUSD

If you’re premed, then go UCSB.

In fact, I can’t think of a major off the top of my head that USD is better than UCSB at.

USD is better in business I know they have a really good program for that there

^ Not necessarily, if you consider accounting…UCSB has a better accounting program. Big 4 hires more from UCSB compared to UC Davis.

There are certain economics programs in UCSB that are better than Davis.

We’re talking about USD ( University of San Diego) not Davis haha

What does USD have that is better than ucsb?

haha, good old dyslexia is kicking in…sigh…

I would actually have to go with USD. It’s so nice down there. Don’t get me wrong, I love SB, but I just think everything will work out better in USD. I have visited both places and USD seemed like a place to get a more personal education.

Soccer has a good point…but I still think SB is better for a pre med student because it is a research university and has better science programs. And Mancini USD is better than UCSB for business like I said earlier

i dont think it’s dyslexia, it’s just USD is rarely heard of so it’s easy to think oh he must mean ucsd or ucd -.- my theory.

to the OP: is money a concern ? USD is very strict and a lot smaller than SB

@snowspider
“USD is better than UCSB for business”

source?

andrewexd- "to the OP: is money a concern ? USD is very strict and a lot smaller than SB "

Money is not really a concern, as far as the size, I’m not sure if I like it or not. I really like the “community” feeling USD had. I did not here anything about the USDs strictness. I imagined it was much more strict, thanks for verifying.

28th on the list

My original source was my friend who is going there next year for business so I went off of what he told me but the link affirms it haha.

oh wow, interesting

i always thought sb was a top 25 school for business too hah

bump!.
Im visiting USD next week but i just got accepted to UCSB. My mom thinks i should go to UCSB because it has better name recognition but i think i want to do business.
Does UCSB better for business and should i visit USD or just pick UCSB. (i visited UCSB last year)

if ur gonna do business, just drop college, be an entrepreneur and pull a Sean Parker.

rofl.

for pre-med, go UCSB. For business. . .USD. But thats just my opinion.
