How is it there? Anyone majoring in this?
What are your impressions?!

Next year i’ll tell you all about it.

haha thanks but i’m transferring this year

bump 10 char

I was a 2008 Poli Sci grad. In general, I really enjoyed the classes that I had… the Congress simulation class was the most fun Most of the teachers I had were great. Do you have any specific questions?

what was the difficulty of poli sci classes, compared to classes of a different major? (like CS for example)
are you going to law school now?

I started out as a computer science major at community college, and it’s kind of hard to compare. CS classes are definitely more difficult, but most of the work you do is problem solving. Political Science classes are all about reading… you’ll have multiple books for every class you take and you’ll be doing a lot of reading. Most of the testing done in those classes is analysis of what you read.

After I graduated, I did local election work (mostly constituent outreach related), then statewide election work (policy/issue research). I got sick of partisan politics and now I’m doing policy work for a government agency. I’m comfortable with what I’m doing now, and I’m not considering an advanced degree or a professional school for the time being.
