What's good everyone? I was admitted at UCSB for Pre-Biopsychology. I was just wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are once I pursue this major. Before I list my concerns, I have a quick question to ask: Am I allowed to switch out of this major during the school year or am I stuck with it until June?

As for my concerns, I am unsure about my future after UCSB. I know I want to pursue the medical field/medical school but I do not know where Biopsychology will take me. I also understand that UCSB is a RESEARCH university as emphasized at Spring Insight's Pre-Health seminar, so will I benefit off these research opportunities, or was that even a question? I took Neuroscience during my first semester this year so I have interest in the functions of the brain; I just don't know the career opportunities.
I am also worried about me not being accommodated with the classes as UCs have been suffering with budget cuts and that I won't graduate in 4 years. I am taking AP Psych and AP Calc and I got a 5 on the AP Eng Language, 3s on World History and US History tests. Will these help me out?

I am pretty much 90% leaning towards UCSB, so I want to make sure I make the right decision.
