UCSB Pre-Major Questions

Hello, future class of 2024 gaucho here. I was admitted as a “pre-psych and brain sciences” major, as I thought that once I completed all the pre-major requirements, I would be able to channel my major into the full Biopsych major in the upper division courses.

However, I’m now realizing that there is also a “pre-biopsych” major. Is it worth it to contact the school and switch into this in order to secure a spot as a full Biopsych major later on? How easy is it to go from pre-psych and brain sciences into biopsych?

I’m not too informed on the whole pre-major system, so if anyone has a good way of explaining it or letting me know what majors are more broad to get into full majors later on, please let me know.

Thank you!
