Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows when we will get our registration dates for Fall 2012...I just checked the schedule of UCSB and one of the classes I actually wanted to take is already full lol. Hopefully we don't get registration dates that are too late.

I dunno how UCSB works, but I know UCSC reserves a certain amount of spots so future freshman/transfers are able to register for some classes. Maybe thats what UCSB did? Its possible they withheld spots from currently registered students and will open them up when freshman/transfers register.

WOW hope to god that’s how it is! Because right now…it looks like introductory courses are all full. I guess the longer you stay in school the better your registration date gets lol thanks for the reply!!

No problem! If you get a chance, ask a current UCSB student and figure out if thats how it works. My guess is that they do what UCSC does so that transfers actually have some sort of a pick at classes. :)

I’ll ask around and let you guys know :-D

Haha I remember as an incoming freshman to UCSB looking at the schedule and seeing general ed/introductory classes like English getting full already. My cousin goes to UCSB, and he told me that’s how it’ll be like for the rest of my stay there, fighting for classes. Hopefully it’s not like that at UCLA oo, hell I’m sure it’s worst ><.

You register for classes at orientation after meeting with your advisor

@JNTHNL: I won’t be going to orientation. It’s mandatory! thank god. and you have to pay for it.

@Aymeer: I think if your major is impacted, You’ll def have an issue getting classes. I hope I don’t have to deal with that hahaha
