:( rejected from UCSB earlier today. I REALLY wanted to go there too. I was wondering if anyone out there can help chance me for at least my last two UCs: DAVIS and IRVINE.

MAJOR:
Pretty much undecided in Letters & Sciences for both

I got rejected at UCSB too! But I got into Irvine and Riverside and Santa Cruz. I’m waiting for Cal and Davis and Santa Clara University.
Other than that I’ve gotten into every college so far. Senior year wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be!
Don’t worry! You’ll get into Irvine. My SAT scores weren’t very good.

I had a 3.97 weighted GPA and 3.85 unweighted. Your SAT’s are a lot better than mine. (1770 maybe less…? I don’t quite remember, heh.) I am almost positive you’ll get into Irvine.
Your EC’s are amazing too (:

ahhhhhh thanks! im still bummed though because ive visted there and its so amazing. i messed up so bad sophomore year ugh. ive gotten into uc riverside, purdue, texas a&m, ohio state, baylor, and northeastern so far!

there’s two comment boxes on the uc application, did u explain why u did bad during sophmore year??
ur test scores and ECs are amazing, i think u have a high chance at davis and irvine.

yeah Dreamutolife, in the Additional Comments section i put down that i wasnt in country for some time when that happened sophomore year.

thanks i hope i get in but i thought it would be easier to get into UCSB though? isnt davis tougher?

Is UCSB harder to get in than Irvine?

I always thought Irvine was harder, but I got into Irvine and was waitlisted for SB

I know SB is ranked higher…
SB is #39 and Irvine is #41

I got into SB but haven’t even heard from back from Irvine yet which people are saying means a rejection

ummm im curious about the same thing too- which uc is tougher (between davis, sb and irvine). ktballerina and mapoch, do u guys mind to mention ur GPA and test scores? cuz u guys are in opposite situation of each others, lol

Ranking wise, UCSB and Davis are tied fro #39 and Irvine is down at #41

GPA: 3.44

SAT II: 760 Math, 740 Chem, 690 Lit
ACT: 32

I’m 3.95 GPA and 1980 SAT

it also depends on the majors though. and idk if it means a rejection though because two of my friends just found out about UCI and they were both admitted.

Nope, checked earlier and I was rejected lol
It was sorta expected though with my stats…strange that I got into SB

Oh and I applied for psychology

I got rejected from irvine too. bad day.
