@harlequin I’ve been trying the same number
I’ve had no luck at all
I even sent them an email and they said it could take up to 10 days to respond
*sigggh *

try calling today…their offices were closed yesterday

So apparently they rejected anyone who hasn’t completed the math or english requirement
“Our counselors did not admit transfer students this application period who had not finished their required Math and English courses by the fall semester. You are welcome to appeal your admission decision after you complete your Math course but there is no guarantee that we will have the room to admit additional transfer students for the fall”

last day to appeal is May 22, and I won’t know my math grade till the second week of June :/

ok, if ur gpa is barely above 3.0, you shouldnt be surprised and upset

come on

Hmmmm my gpa is a 3.5
I think that allows me to be suprised and upset

if you got rejected with a 3.5, they clearly think you are mising units / didnt fulfill igetc.

I got into quantitative economics at ucsb with a ~3.5 missing a ton of pre reqs… granted I go to SBCC so I think they take us locals by priority. although a kid that sits next to me in accounting got denied with a 3.2, not sure on what major though.

i got rejected with a 3.45 and will have everything completed

did you call them and make sure they didnt screw up on a pre req or a igetc requirement? I keep hearing about people on this forum with schools misreading stuff.

Those of you who had TAG and got rejected definitely did something wrong.

I got rejected with a 3.4 and it was only because my math class was in progress

damn i wish i could give one of you guys my admission ><

Haha believe me I would literally pay you for your spot if I could ucsb is my dream school :(

^ Don’t feed the ego.

@babypleas1 “I got rejected with a 3.4 and it was only because my math class was in progress.”

I found out this is what happened to me. I am taking a statistics class that’s in progress–which I’ll be passing with an ‘A’ in 2 weeks. My school’s transfer counselor told me that I could take it in Spring (presently) and it would not conflict with TAG.

I talked to someone at UCSB and they told me to get a hold of someone at their counseling department to see if there is some kind of solution for me.

Yeah Same thing happened to me I got denied cuz I’m taking Stats this semester.

Last day to appealin May 22 and my semester doesn’t end tillthe 3rd of June Womp Womp

^^ uh this is BS you guys. SB is bs. My bf got admitted to SB for psych day one and he is just finishing his stats requirement this semester. Granted, he has a very high GPA, but still, for SB to say that math/english requirements not being finished is your rejection reasons is an outright lie!!!

It is bs but it’s true unfortunately

**** SB! LA/SD/I/D didnt have any problems with my schedule…

Yeah I got into ucsd the first batch but ****ing sb thinks is ucla this year

Isn’t that in the TAG agreement?

Complete the required courses in English composition (two courses designated as UC-E on the UC-Transferable Course Agreement) and mathematics (one course designated as UC-M on the UC-Transferable Course Agreement) with C grades or better by the end of fall 2009 for fall 2010 admission.

You could still get admitted but it wouldn’t be under TAG in this case.
