hi all, so I've began my tag process, and I filled out all the classes I took...and the classes I am taking as of now for fall 2012...however, that adds up to like 50 units,, and i still need to take SPRING, so ...do I list the spring classes as planned? What if I do not get those classes (which I most likely wont because getting classes is a hit or miss thing nowadays theyre so full)? Should I submit my tag application with only 50 units and leave my spring semester out because I havent planned for it yet?

And when and where do I write a personal statement? There is an "Additional Comments" almost to the end, but i doubt thats where I would write a huge essay...

I also did not attend any transfer meetings at the colleges, nor did I take any "exams" (now that I remember it, I took the SAT in highschool and scored a 1700 but thats it)...

do I list the SAT i took in highschool (not sure how I would get the exact score this was years ago)....

As of now I am at a 3.167...I need to pull off 2 A's and 3 Bs in order to get to atleast a 3.2...which i am confident ill do.

Thanks for looking!! This is really exciting and scary at the same time!

You should have them filled out as planned since you only have 50 units as of now and the req. for TAG is to have 60+ by the end of spring 2013 semester. You don’t include your personal statement, that is for November when you send in your regular admission through the UC website, and no need to include the SAT since you are a CCC transfer now and not a HS applicant.
I am not sure about what happens if you don’t get into the classes you plan on attending for spring, have the same question myself but have a meeting with a UCSB rep. tomorrow so should find out then. Just try getting those A’s to get that 3.2+ for Fall and Spring, Goodluck.
Edit: I also read on the Tag req. for UCSB you need a 3.4+ GPA in your major prep classes.

you need 3.2+ before fall to be eligible for tag. In case you can’t get classes that you have put as planned, you can wait and update your NORMAL application around fed or march. Remember to check the TAG’s box in your normal application.

EDIT: no you don’t put a huge essay at TAG’s additional comment box. Either leave it blank or explain a few words. “additional comment box”

start your personal statement now since it will open on nov.

^Not for UCSB, they will accept a 3.2 after fall grades are calculated into the overall GPA. Also @ MikeyRawks, the 3.4 major GPA is only required for the College of Engineering.
