UCSB TAG QUESTIONS Please Help!

Hi I am currently attending Pasadena City College and TAGed UCSB and as of now I stand at a total of 72 credit hours with a 3.167 GPA. In order for me to meet the requirements for this fall semester I would need to either get an A for Calculus 5A, with at least a B in my Econ 1B and my Physical Antro 1 class or get a B form my Calculus 5A class and get an a A for my Econ 1B and my Physical Antro 1 class. If I don't meet the requirements can I buff up my overall GPA by taking some easy classes and try TAG again for Fall 2016?

Not only am I concerned about my overall GPA but also equally the cap limit for credits. I fear that might not meet the gpa requirements and so might need to take a few easy A classes to bump my GPA up.

Currently I don't have any Ds or Fs, but I do have 3 Cs that I am hoping to retake for an A if that is a possible option. I guess the main problem for me is too many Bs and too few As on my transcript.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks y'all.

I don’t know why you aren’t working with a xfer counselor at PCC. I see at least 2 assumptions you are making that are completely wrong, and that a simple chat with a counselor would have avoided.

Not really sure what this means, but I’m guessing you are worried that some of your units won’t be counted in figuring out your GPA. This is incorrect.

UC will not use the new grade in calculating your GPA.

The people at the xfer center are there every day. Online it looks like they’re even open today and tomorrow. Might be worth a visit…
