I am confused. I am looking at two different websites that say the GPA requirements for TAG to UCSB from SBCC is different.

On assist.org, the "Transfer Admission Guarantee Fall 2010" states that your GPA has to be 3.0 by the end of Fall 2009 for Fall 2010 admission.
ASSIST Report: SBCC 09-10 UCSB Articulation Agreement by Major

On sbcc.edu tag website, it says you must complete all UC transferable coursework with "GPA of at least 2.4."
Transfer Academy: UC Admission Requirements - Santa Barbara City College

Does anyone know which is correct?

I could be wrong, but I think #2 is referencing admission requirement eligibility in general. TAG has different requirements, and this I am positive of. You need a 3.0 to complete a TAG.

I’m not sure if I understand. To be eligible for a tag, you must have a 2.4, but to actually get in to UCSB (school of arts and letters…?) you need to have a 3.0? What is the point of having a 2.4?

No to be eligible for TAG you need a 3.0 or above along with the grade in the required classes.

To be eligible to apply to UCSB you need a 2.4 at minimum

Oh I think I get it. So in Fall 2010 if I have less than a 3.0 I might be considered by UCSB. But they won’t consider me TAG eligible so that hurts my chances.
