<p>I emailed UCSB Admissions about my application and a counselor responded with...</p>
<p>"Our counselors are finishing up the transfer application evaluations but may not finish until May 10th."</p>

<p>I seriously almost drove down to SB today after my final… this is ridiculous</p>
<p>I don’t understand what’s taking them so long. Have they gotten a record amount of applicants this year?</p>
<p>Yeah they did have some record breaking applications but still… May 10th though??? Are you kidding me? There’s no way thats right… We paid them 60 bucks to do one thing… decide by April 30… I don’t care if they had 50,000 applicants they should totally stick to their word… </p>
<p>PS. My gf has heard from all UC’s except SB (didn’t apply to Berkeley)… This is ridiculous…</p>

<p>my boyfriend just got rejected at UCSB with a 3.2 GPA, poli sci major, IGETC. The rejection letter said that he didn’t meet UC minimum requirements even though he got accepted to Davis. The first thing that popped up in my head was,“are they [SB] dense or something?!” he was a little sad, but not really because at least there’s always UC Davis, where he lived his whole life…and is more than likely gonna end up there…but also applied to Cal and is really anticipating Friday!</p>
<p>it does seem like there are a lot of people who want to UCSB though, along with Cal, UCLA, and UCSD…but why May 10 though?! I’m sure the other 3 had more applicants and is still sticking to the deadline of April 30.</p>
<p>I don’t know though…I mean the website still says May 1st so…</p>
