I have called and spoken to a few counselors. They have told me that applicants were down this year compared to previous years which means they should theoretically accept more off the waitlist. I was hoping that would mean more of us would find out sooner but maybe that means it’s taking them longer because they have more spots to fill? That’s what I’ll be hoping for anyways!
12 days left, these last 3 months of waiting have been sooo stressful
Looks like the freshman applicants heard back last night and were rejected according to two or three posts I read in their waitlist thread. That means we should likely be hearing back today, I don’t really like the odds at this point.
Freshman’s heard back on May 9, 15 and sometimes in June. I don’t fhink any of the transfers have even heard anything for the first round
@UniCoIn yeah maybe they are finishing up with freshman applicants than moving into transfers ? The username AUTC23 mentioned that a wave for transfers has already been released though so I don’t know what to think.
@RaymondAlvaradoH Yeah, the woman I had talked to said that there was a wave but she couldn’t give an exact date. After what had gone on with the Berkeley waitlist this year (I was also waitlisted there) it feels hard to trust what we’re being told over the phone. Its possible that she gave inaccurate info. She did seem fairly confident in her answers but we never really know.
Hey yall I just got my appeal denied a few minutes ago so hopefully the rest of yall whether it is an appeal or waitlist hear back as well. Good luck!
@Crnchyice hey so are you still on the waitlist ? Was only your appeal denied or your application as a whole?
Application as a whole
@Crnchyice That’s crazy bc you’re the first person on this thread to even get an answer and it’s already June 21st. Sorry about your appeal
@Crnchyice man that really sucks I wish you the best in whatever route you choose to pursue your higher education. ?
My appeal was denied but I’m still on the waiting list. According to the appeal committee they are accepting transfers that meet the TAG requirements.
@Oscarlo21 so does that mean those of us who managed to get a 3.2 by the end of spring should be accepted?
Hello everyone,

Appealed UCSB and appeal got denied but still on waitlist
Geez, still waiting… anyone know if the time you got wailisted plays a factor, such as late march as opposed to late May? I was waitlisted the very first wave of admissions on March 19 and now I am waiting until the very last week of the deadline
Another day and still nothing this is getting ridiculous at this point
Waitlisted on UCI and UCSB, didn’t appeal.
Nothing yet…
Just got rejected from ucla and UCSB is the only school that’s left to hear back a decision from why is it taking forever
