I was suspended for 2 days in the beginning of sophomore year because I threw yogurt at a friend(not a close friend, but friend). I have regretted what I’ve done and learned how inconsiderate I was, but I made the anti-bullying club to get myself and others more involved in what goes on. MY counselor said she knows it was a one time thing and I have done a lot of positive things, thus she will write the suspension down but explain that I have changed, and it didn’t define me.

Senior Year:

AP Statistics
AP Government
AP Physics 2
Advanced Anatomy(You must be interviewed to get in)
AP English 12
AP Macroeconomics
AP Art History

UCLA is my dream school, UCSB is also nice, I hope to think of it as a low match, if possible for me??

What is your 10-11 UW GPA?

3.93 @uclaparent9

Bad freshman year

I am also applying to other top tier schools like Stanford MIT Cornell NYU but idk if I have equal or less chances

I consider UCLA a High-Match.
(May be you better write about that childish act in your essay and explain how sorry you have been and what steps you took to make up for that!)

@uclaparent9 My weighted 10th to 11th grade GPA capped(UC GPA) is 4.21
My unweighted 10th to 11th grade GPA is 3.93

All A’s and 2 B’s. 2 honors and 1 AP sophomore year(most rigorous schedule except for English)
All AP junior year(with all A’s). The 2 B’s in sophomore year were in Spanish 3 and english

@uclaparent9 high-match is more than 50% chance??

By the way, any SAT II scores?
(If not taken two or having scores below 750, I reduce your chances to low-reach)

Yea, 800 in Biology and Math 2!! Amazed but it worked out, thanks for the reminder.
@uclaparent9

Didn’t do so well in Physics though compared to the others, I’m not sending it though

I would consider all of those schools matches for you. While your UW is pretty mediocre, your weighted and UC-capped are pretty good. With the addition of your extremely strong SAT score, I think you have a very good chance at all of those schools. However, at Stanford-type schools, it will be probably reaches. For NYU, I would say high match/match.

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1835410-chance-me-and-ill-chance-you-p1.html

@jackisawesome Thanks, I am wondering if the suspension is ruining my chance. Thanks for the info though.

Honestly, I don’t think it will matter too much. I bet the universities will be interested in what the cause of the suspension was and hearing that you threw a yogurt (like how could u be suspended for that hahaha xD), they will probably, honestly, not give a f*ck xD

Still feel bad, don’t get me wrong, but that relieves me so much. My school will just list bullying with others, but I will explain how.

You’re a sophomore in other threads, but you have all these grades already? Hmm… Are you just predicting these grades and achievements for yourself? If so, you should make that explicit. If not, good job with these accomplishments!

Yea I was focused on my sophomore grades in those posts because of my suspension situation
@confusedcontent lol see where the username comes from

In your other threads, you said you are a current sophomore, which doesn’t make any sense to me. However, if it’s just a misunderstanding on my I side, I apologize.

I thought commenting in the moment would be more effective
so I showed myself as a sophomore. @confusedcontent
