I'm currently a high school senior preparing to enter college in the fall. I really want to major in the arts, and more specifically Design and Media Arts. My dilemma is....I don't know which school will best foster my pursuits in design. I planned on attending the Art Center College of Design in pasadena, but i think it's too late for me to apply there. I've already been accepted to UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, and CSU Long Beach. I've heard UCLA was prabably the best choice for design, but unfortunately they rejected me (those bastards jk :P).

So I really need some help, because I have to send in my Statement of Intent to Register by May 1st. I understand CSU Long Beach has a lot of art and design programs, but I really look forward to attending a UC. Any info on UCSB would be a big help!!

will no one help me? i also want to know if appealing to a college i was rejected to (UCLA) would do any good. any info at all would be much appreciated!

honestly, art center should have rolling admissions. i don't think it's too late to apply. otis college of art & design which is in the LAX area also has a rolling admissions, so you can stilla pply.

From my understanding CSULB has a strong design program, but you're basically rejecting a UC for a Cal State. That's a tough one. I think you should just hit up UCSB just because I think you'll have the better college experience. CSULB is more of a commuter school, and the quality of the students is lower than the one at UCSB. Did you not apply to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, they're second best to UCLA.?

But if the strength of the program is more important then you then you're overall college experience then attend CSULB.

Strongly consider looking at Otis www.otis.edu they have Digital Media as a major which I think sounds like what you want to do.

Cross out UCR.

i just got this off of otis website
"Otis has a "rolling" admission policy: you may submit your application at any time throughout the year. The target date for the fall semester is February 15, and for the spring semester, December 1." Even though feb 15 passed, you still can apply and get in for the fall semester. i attend otis,a nd i remember talking to some other freshmen students some even applied like in june/july and started attending september for the fall semester.
