UCSB/UCSD few questions.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I have a few questions that I haven't found any answers to yet.

I'm applying to UCSB and UCSD as a transfer student from a ccc. I'm trying to be TAG certified, but because I had a very shaky first sesmester my GPA will be around 2.97 by the end of Fall 2008, short of the required minimum 3.00. Is there any way I can still be certified? I will pass the 3.00 mark by winter intersession, and my transcripts show progress through each semester.

Furthermore, by the end of Spring 2008, if everything goes according to plan, I will have 57 units counted towards my IGETC. However, I fulfilled my foreign language requirement in high school, but I don't think my ccc has it on record. Do I need to take one more class to reach the 60 unit IGETC minimum, or will my hs foreign language give me the 5 units to reach the minimum? Also, when do I have to send my hs transcript? Will the schools get my hs transcript in time to give me the 5 units needed to reach 60 units?

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Oops sorry I meant Spring 2009*

you're not just tag certified if you meet the requirements at the time you apply; it is its own "application" in the sense it's submitted and either approved or not.
