The Blue and Gold Plan will cover all tuition-related fees (so let's say around 13k) if the student doesn't receive any Cal Grants, correct?

How does the Blue and Gold plan work in terms of receiving your aid? I heard it's a mixture of grants/scholarships that add up to the educational fees.

Wouldn't the Blue and Gold plan technically be worth more than Cal Grant A ($12192 in grant money)?

Thank you for your time!

The blue and gold doesn’t replace cal grant, it covers the rest of the financial aid your grants/scholarships don’t cover. For example, you have $10,000 in grants/scholarships. The blue and gold will only provide enough to cover the rest of your fees

Oh, I see how it works now. So theoretically, if you don’t qualify for any cal grant, then wouldn’t the Blue and Gold Plan cover ALL fees??

Yes, as long as your gross household income is less than $80,000

@Robelius,

Thank you for your prompt responses. I think I got all the info I needed.
