UCSB VS BERKELEY

I have to choose between the two. I got into UCSB undeclared and into the College of Chemistry at Berkeley. I am thinking about it because I want to go to Grad school for medicine or law. So I basically do not know what I want to do in the future either Doctor, Pharmacist, or Lawyer. I am intimidated by Berkeley because I am a very social individual and I do not know if I will do well in a school that is on par with Cal Tech and MIT. I might be able to, but I do not know for sure. I know at UCSB I would work very hard to be one of the top students because I turned down Berkeley to go there so there is no excuse, and it has a social environment that I very much enjoy. I do not know if Berkeley is worth it in the long run because of the GPA deflation and the very stressed out nature of the school, and I do not know if it has a good social atmosphere. Plus I think that it could ruin my chances to go to a good grad school. Any advice from anyone who might have been in the same situation? Or just knows about the social scene at Berkeley, is it really only studying or can one be social too?

Im eagerly awaiting responces, so…Bump

@oranges22‌ right off the bat, saying you like the social atmosphere of UCSB go there. The personality of both campuses is very different. Everything you noted - grade deflation, grad school, yada yada… Do well at UCSB and you’ll have no problem finding a great grad school.
