Johns Hopkins University or UC Santa Barbara?

if there is no financial problem.... really appreciate if you can give me reasons...

that's not really a contest. UCSD and Hopkins, there's an interesting discussion.

How so? I am sorry but I am not sure about mechanical engineering because I heard UCSB has a good mechanical engineering....

UCSB is good, sure, but if there's no financial issues, Hopkins is the clear winner, IMO...

Thank you very much for ur information.

Any more opinions? Please I am deciding between two.... thank you

OP -- my apology, I completely misread your original post... I thought I read "biomedical engineering"...

For ME, I'd view them equally. I just looked up their NRC rankings, and UCSB is #41 and Hopkins is #48.

Price no object I'd pick Hopkins, because of its smaller size, and generally higher level student body. but if you are in CA, I would never be able to justify the $26,000 price difference per year for Hopkins over UCSB (without financial aid).
