UCSB vs SDSU Honors?

Hey everyone I am having a hard time picking between ucsb and sdsu honors. My major is undeclared. I know ucsb has more prestige but I was wondering how it compares to honors at sdsu. If anyone has an insight on both in general that would be great!

I’m in the same boat as you, except I declared my major as business (though I am really not sure what I want to do). I am still trying to decide on them both, however I do have a bit on insight on both schools as I have been to UCSB numerous times and know people that go there, and I visited SDSU last weekend. I am currently leaning toward SDSU for a few reasons: First the honors program has newly renovated dorms, Second you get to study abroad for sure, Third the honors program has special academic advisors along with other advisors that only they get to use, Fourth Honors has their own room in the library to use, and Fifth I heard that the Honors Teachers are excellent plus all honors classes are less than 20 kids. Everyone I actually talked to at SDSU was really nice, including staff and members of the Honors Program, however a lot of the students walking by did come off as rather stuck up and superficial, then again who am I to judge a book by its cover.
UCSB has the pro of simply being a UC that is respected and rather well known. For me, I wouldn’t be in any honors program though and would instead be just in the general population which is kind of a con. The campus is nice, but I personally like SDSU’s campus better, along with the fact that it is in a major city whereas UCSB (though in a beautiful part of California) is in a smaller area. Both are party schools, however both have their academic strong points. Personally I am still struggling with my choice because of the fact that UCSB is regarded as a better school, yet the Honors Program at SDSU rivals UCSB general population as both the Honors Program and UCSB have admission stats of average GPA above 4.0 and SAT around 1300ish.

Couldnt have said it better myself^

SDSU is a great school, it’s a lot of fun and solid academics. You won’t regret going there!

Huge SPORTS program at SDSU if you need a diversion from time to time.
