What are some things to consider when picking between the two?

what’s your major?

Undecided. I’m interested in economics though.

I recently met with the director of the Honors Program and it seems like a pretty good deal. It’s fairly easy to meet all the requirements and by completing the program, you earn a minor in interdiciplinary studies. Interdiciplinary studies is basically learning about a range of different subjects and problems solving so that you’re a more well rounded person and not just a specialist in your major, which a lot of employers want now. I feel like I’m underachieving by going to SDSU, but going into the Honors program helps me justify going there and their business program is supposed to be really good. And, it seems like SDSU is on the rise as a University. They received nearly 62,000 applications and only admitted around 6,100 I think. And there’s only 600 students in the honors program, school-wide. Plus, you have a ton of staff who specifically helps honors program students with just about everything, which I like.

I really don’t know a lot about UCSB though.
