Where would you go, and why???

UC-SB, better humanities. Plus I like body surfing :)

UCSB because any UCSB can get into SDSU, but not every SDSU can get into UCSB.

Social - UCSB has a huge party scene and surfing like SDSU does. UCSB is probably the better surfing school.

Academics/Prestige - UCSB wins by a huge margin, no competition.

Therefore, you should definitely go to UCSB unless there are other concerns (money, family)

Agree with above.

Yeah, I got to SDSU, I was shot down by UCSB, otherwise I would have gone to UCSB. But it turned out for the best I suppose because UCSB didn't offer a finance degree, which is the exact business concentration I wanted...look at this excerpt from the SDSU website today...

This is the second straight year that SDSU ranked No. 2 for students studying abroad among universities classified as "Doctoral Research/Intensive" institutions by the Carnegie Foundation. (Carnegie overhauled its systems earlier this year, and now SDSU is classified as a "Research University" with high research activity. SDSU is the only California State University campus with this classification, which places it among the top 200 higher education institutions in the country conducting research.)

the times are a changin' here at SDSU
