<p>Both are equally hard to get into since both have the same average SAT score and GPA. Goto whichever one is close to your home…or with the one you like…If I was in your situation I would goto Davis just it offers a lot more majors than SB.</p>
<p>Both are well respected institutions with plenty of excellent professors and abundant research opportunities. Which environment would you prefer? Academic rigor is likely to be the same (very challenging) although some might prefer ucd’s rural setting to that of UCSB’s beach town, or vice versa.</p>
