Which choice is better? For those who go to UCSB, is it very competitive and hard to get high grades? thanks

UCSB is better, hands down. its a harder university to get into, but it is also more prestigious. sure its hard to get high grades, but i think that can be said about any UC.

weather is nicer in Santa Barbara, u dont have to look at or smell Riverside smog. surrounding area is also nicer (Riverside is ghetto in my opinion)

and if u ask anyone who is even halfway knowledgeable they will tell u that if u ranked all the UCs against each other, UCR is at the bottom of the ladder.

SB is the clear choice.
lets just say our SB OCEAN breeze blows the LA smog into Riverside.

Wouldn't Merced be the bottom of the ladder?

actually this year in terms of acceptances, UCR is third from bottom
