<p>So I have been accepted to UNiversity of Washington and UCSB. I live in southern california but my decision is not greatly influenced by issues like weather and I am willing to visit a new place. </p>
<p>I am planning to major in Compsci and have been accepted presci for uw and preecon for sb and hope to switch. I have heard that uw has an amazing compsci program but this information seems inconsistent with how good the rest of the school is. And is ucsb compsci impressive at all?</p>
<p>Also prestige is an issue for me because living in SoCal UCSB seems to have built up to be greater than it is. While on the global ranking of universities UW is ranked as high as 16 on ARWU.</p>
