Hi, so I was one of the few people who got to see their decision during the glitch yesterday, and I was waitlisted. I haven’t seen a discussion for it yet so I decided to make one, maybe we can all help each other out
It said I was accepted but I totally doubt it. I have low stats compared to everyone else’s and it’s making me question it. Do you think the glitch gave out false rejections/acceptances/waitlists?
@am013384 I SERIOUSLY doubt that, and congratulations ucsb is amazing!!
Waitlisted at UCSB and UCD, accepted at UCSC, SDSU and Cal Poly SLO. Can you go to the admitted students day if you’re wait listed?
Waitlisted. How can I get off?
I heard they have accepted quite a few people from the waitlist last year
@yehsm826 you get off when people that were accepted don’t SIR by May 1st
I was waitlisted too as an OOS student. Anyone know how hard it is to get off?
Posted on the decision thread but here are the stats for last year:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list: 5830
Number accepting a place on the waiting list: 3252
Number of wait-listed students admitted: 1351
Also stats for 2016:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on the wait list: 5,006
Number accepting a place on the wait list: 2,910
Number of wait-listed students admitted: 278
More information about the waitlist: http://admissions.sa.ucsb.edu/docs/default-source/PDFs/ucsb-waitlist-faq.pdf?sfvrsn=30
I was waitlisted for UCSB today, however, I submitted a TAG and was almost positive that I met the requirements. The message from UCSB made no mention of it. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be going on there? Should I submit an appeal?
Got waitlisted. Does anyone know where to obtain information on the number of people who applied and accepted? Also the number of people they waitlisted?
Waitlisted.
how do they determine who gets off of the waitlist first when spots become available?
What steps can be taken to increase chances to get off waitlist? This is my top choice and I have been rejected from other UCs…
Lucky for you guys, I got waitlisted by my backup UCs and rejected by my top choice which is UCSB, I’m submitting an appeal rn.
I got waitlisted by UCSB which was my top choice UC. I don’t mean to sound arrogant but secretly I honestly thought I would get since although I’m not the strongest test taker, I still have Stats that are above their usual average.
But I guess you can never tell
