UCSB

Im asking if I should even try to apply to UCSB or is my chances so low there's no point? My GPA is crap and my ACT is eh. My extracurricular is the only "strong" thing about me.
UC GPA: 3.0 UW/ 3.3 W
Only took 1 AP but took 5 honor courses which most of the honor courses is UC approved (sophmore junior year)
EC: 300+ hours of volunteer and in a few months going to receive President's Volunteer Award Gold Level.
Do I also have a shot at UCR. UCD, UCSC, AND UCI?
Anyone know someone who has similar stats as me and got accepted to UCSB or the other UC colleges i mentioned?
THANK YOU

OH FORGOT MY ACT: 22

I’m sorry to say that you should save your $70 application fee for UCSB/UCI/UCD since your GPA and ACT are too low to be competitive. UCSC would be a reach also. Unless you are a recruited athlete, your only chance would be UCR and UCM and those would be a High Match/Low Reach.
Average UC GPA/ACT for UCR was 3.77/25
Average UC GPA/ACT for UCM was 3.61/24
If you are looking to attend a 4 year University, I would look at the Cal State system. You might want to consider Cal State San Marcos, Channel Islands, Fresno, San Bernadino, LA, Bakersfield and if you can afford some privates: Whitter or Azusa Pacific.
I agree your volunteering looks good but that will not get you into a Mid-tier UC. Most of the UC’s focus on GPA and test scores. You can check the “common data sets” for each school to see the admitted rate for your GPA and ACT scores. You need to target schools where you fall at the 50th percentile or higher.
If you really want to go to UCSB, you could go the CC route and transfer. Good Luck.

What’s your major? This will make a difference. If you are applying to a more obscure major, you may get in, even if your stats are lower than expected.

As noted by GumbyMom, your GPA and ACT scores are too low for the UC’s.
