UCSB's Policy on Cheating...

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding UCSB's policy on admissions and cheating. My brother was offered admission to UCSB for this coming fall and has accepted their admission. Today, he was accused of cheating and his high school is threatening to put this on his record. If it is put on his HS record, will 1) UCSB see this and 2) will they rescind his admission offer?

Thanks

I don't know about freshman applicants, but as a transfer, I still have to send my transcript of all my grades (through spring semester), and I'll assume freshman have to do that to, so any recent additions to his high school transcript will probably show up.

This is a complete guess, but I think he might recieve one of those "we might cancel your decision" notices until he writes a letter of explanation to them... this is just my guess. I suggest contacting UCSB directly and asking them.
