UCSC 2011 Decisions

3.5 hours left :D

Good luck everyone! Are all decisions being released today based on those times?

They haven’t said anything otherwise, so I’m going to say yes, all decisions are coming out overnight-tonight ^_^

To everyone:

The decisions for UCSC will begin to be posted on March 15…see below from their website. You may have to wait until the end of the month. Sigh.

Our notification period begins at midnight (Pacific Daylight Time) on March 15 and concludes on March 31. All admission decisions are posted in the portal, and admitted students are also notified with a letter sent to the current mailing address.

When I sign on to MyUCSC, it says that decisions will be released beginning 3/17, but The main UCSC website says 3/15. I’m a transfer student, so maybe that’s why. Still though, the main site says 3/15 for transfers too.

Guess I’ll be staying up to find out.

True, it does say “beginning at”, but why wouldn’t they post all decisions (as the lettering allows) tonight?

I dunno, but I’ve checked MyUCSC at least 5000 times in hopes an earlier date would show up  The email they sent me also said the 17th.

Are you a transfer?

I think that the majority of decisions will be coming out tonight for sure and the ones UCSC isn’t so sure about will get their decisions a little later … those should gradually just trickle out.

Yup, and I have TAG, so I probably shouldn’t be stressing, but I want to see a “congratulations!” before getting too excited about attending.

That might be why…I think 15th is for freshman, like me (:

Eek! I’ll know tonight at 3am…Getting nervous now :/

This is from the MyUCSC site:

“Our notification period begins midnight (Pacific Daylight Time) on March 17 and concludes on April 30. All admission decisions are posted in the portal, and admitted students are also notified with a letter sent to the current mailing address. We will begin posting out decisions on the portal on March 17 according to the first letter of your last name in the following time blocks:”

Whenever you get the word, Good luck to all!!

are you sure it’s tonight at 3 AM (3/15)? or will it be 3 AM on 3/16? the e-mail says “beginning midnight on 3/15” that wording confuses me. by the way, good luck!

I’m pretty sure it means Tuesday morning at 3 am. Midnight=beginning of day

It is the beginning of Tuesday morning. Remember that a college doesn’t define you; rather, your college is defined by you and others like you.

So starting to get nervous now that its getting close if you guys could chance me to ease my nerves that would be appreciated. thanks!

Transfer student

I thought TAG guaranteed you? (Sorry, I could be wrong. Not a transfer)
I must say, I really like how UCSC is handling admissions. They have had a set date with specific time slots for release and don’t make their applicants freak out wondering. Plus, they’re the only college that has kept in contact with me. “Here’s info about fin aid” “Reminder about your time slot!” yay :)

I think its a guarentee but not positive. Its more of a “ok now you are that much closer to admittance” statement i’ve been told. haha
