hey I had a few questions:

Can someone describe the different colleges to me, in terms of what type of person would best fit into each college?

Are there any public pools? I’m a certified lifeguard/Swim Instructor and I want to know if there’s a chance i could get a job nearby.

So the first 3 times I saw your post, it was okay. But really now? It’s not that hard to find info (:

Hmmm…odd.
I hope their delay isn’t a bad sign.
I want UCSC so bad :'[

running outta patience

I think it’s incredibly unfair that they only notify half of the students and make the rest wait. We could be waiting a whole month longer just to know. I’m slowly beginning to consider other schools.
UCSC why you do this??

yeah sux cuz housing fills up fast and i need to submit SIR to start applyin for housing. i was considering santa cruz cuz my family’s in san jose and thought it’d be nice to be close but we’ll see… well… i’d say 2 weeks max so hang on tight

Accepted.
Woo!

Re: public pools/lifeguard jobs. Periodically, there are on-campus lifeguard jobs posted on the UCSC website for the campus pool-there was one a couple weeks ago but’s it’s gone now. Here’s the link to student jobs, [UCSC Career Center Employee Request System](http://www.careercenter.ucsc.edu/ers/erspub/main.cfm?action=non_workstudy). Also you can contact OPERS directly for more info on the recreational facilities & jobs, [OPERS Complex Info](http://opers.ucsc.edu/facilities/general_information.html)

Any other CCC transfers decisions?

I got in friday as a ccc transfer(didn’t do tag but finished igetc)

Congrats someone404!
I’m getting real worried, I hope I don’t get a denial.
I really can’t take another disappointment this year

nothn for me yet

Denied admission.
3.1 GPA, IGETC completed, good academic standing and lots of volunteer and work experience.
Their acceptance rate looks to be about 50% for this year.
On the students denied admission information page, it says that they denied all students with less than a 3.0 and students who didn’t have their IGETC. This is not true; because then I would have been admitted.
A girl in my statistics class was denied with a 4.0… so if you are denied, don’t feel bad. The public school system is suffering very badly right now and the budget cuts are going to be EXTREMELY harsh this Fall.
But, congrats to those that were accepted! I am jealous! :p

I mean to type, they DID admit all students with a 3.0 or higher and all of their IGETC completed. Sooooo not true.

do you have a back up Giraffes? i wish to at least just get a decision so i can SIR other school, it’s a torture but looks like they’re sending another batch of decisions. i’ll have to wait another month for davis anyway… thanks and good luck to you!

Denied, crushed as UCSC is my first pick.
Going to appeal
