No email, yet. I just kept refreshing the portal all day today and finally it happened around 3:20 pm. The deadline to SIR is June 7 btw.

I got in today at about 3:45. For those who want to compare their stats and chances;

Weighted GPA: 3.9
Major (I won’t disclose this because it might give away my identity, but hardly anyone goes to UCSC for this major)

Hi Everyone! Third wave came out today. I got in.

I received offer email at 5:06pm (PDT) to a “proposed” engineering major that’s not the best choice for me. I wonder if someone can tell me my chance if I request the admissions office to change me to “proposed” Computer Science major.
I’ve done a lot of CS work (AP class, ECs etc). SAT I Math perfect.
This is from the UCSC website:
**Computer Science is an impacted major at UCSC. If you entered UCSC in the 2019-2020 academic year, your proposed major at the time of admission to UCSC MUST be Computer Science in order to declare a Computer Science major.
I got in today and i’m very excited to attend in the fall
I applied with a 3.59 weighted GPA
ACT score of 30
i applied jewish studies but plan to change and pursue the 3+3 program with UC Hastings

My son has 4 messages in the Application Status and Info area of the portal. The first says he’s been admitted to his proposed major, the 3rd is the Fall 2019 Offer of Admissions Contract, the 4th talks about the option of changing his major, but the second one says:
"Unfortunately, the acceptance deadline has now passed and you can no longer accept your offer of admission. You needed to have accepted your admission offer by June 7.
We thank you for your interest in UC Santa Cruz and wish you well in your educational pursuits."
Any ideas what this means?
@Pffsst i see the same info on my portal page. I believe it simply means we’d have to respond (Accept the offer or not) by 6/7.

Got off the waitlist and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be committing ASAP. I applied undecided (but made very clear in my essays that I have no intent of majoring in STEM) with a 3.33 weighted UC GPA and 33 ACT, 9/12 on essay. My GPA is definitely low but does not include about 60 quarter units that I have from dual enrollment classes.
