Ugh…one more day for waiting…
Do you guys know what time they’ll be out? And are you guys appealing off waitlist or a rejection?
@NikaMex13 I looked back some previous years’ threads, and it seems the results usually came out around 4.20… :-S although UCSC said they would release by 4.17…

The waiting is killing me
Wow, I’m appealing off a full on rejection and the chances for me is like 4%… and I have spring break as of tomorrow so I’ll either be spending it really happy or upset
@Oracion Where else have you got in?
I only got in UCR and Merced right now :(…I don’r know what happened to my app, but anyway, I’ll just accept this reality and try my best to get in Santa Cruz.
I feel for you, the day I received rejections from many schools was my birthday, and i would say it was the worst birthday ever. I didn’t even feel like to celebrate…
btw. my gf got into UCSC, and she didn’t get in any of the schools I got in, and I didn’t get in any schools she got in, either. So ucsc is my last hope, if I don’t gei in …ugh. don’t even want to imagine
Well at least you have some place to go man, it’s either this or I’m forced to attend community college. Santa Cruz was the worst school I applied to, I really thought I would get in. It’s really tough getting in anywhere right now, having decent stats doesn’t even get you anywhere anymore. It’s all about going above and beyond nowadays
@NikaMex13 pretty understand your feeling. I thought I should hundred-percent get in ucsc with my stats, but…
@NikaMex13 This year is extremely competitive… I wish both of us can get in ! 
@Oracion Seriously… I should’ve applied to Riverside as my backup… I just seriously don’t want to be stuck at home for another two years. I appealed to Davis as well but if Santa Cruz isn’t taking me then they for sure won’t. I had such confidence I would get into Davis because of the fact they sent me a long supplemental questionnaire to fill out along with a teacher recommendation. A bunch of let downs is what this year has burdened me with, but we have to stay optimistic about our future, I can’t tell you anything else but that.
Yeh… nothing else we can do…
My only wish now is to stay with my gf, I know it sounds stupid and immature… but that’s how i truly feel right now 
I got many other waitlists, such as Davis, Irvine… and I didn’t accept the wl offer, ucsc is the only one I wanna go to at this time
I’m also a new immigrant to America, I came here at my sophomore year which i missed a freshmen year to accomplish more academic goals. In order to apply for colleges, I took summer schools every summer for completing the credits. And I also worked so hard to jump out from the ESL class and I made it. As a english learner, I’m taking three APs this year which is a challenge for myself.
I just don’t want to waste all of these efforts I did these three years :-S As well as the money my parents paid for the expensive summer schools and ACT tutor classes
Just checked, still not updated :(. If I don’t get into SC, I guess I’m going to UCR which isn’t too bad I guess. I mean it’s only ranked around 20-25 below UCSC…
BTW @NikaMex13 what was your GPA/SAT if you don’t mind me asking?
@Oracion You should’ve accepted the other wait lists man!
@Niting They weren’t good. My SAT was just above average at 1620 and my ACT was decent at 26. I’ve earned above a 3.8 GPA or higher each semester except for my sophomore year where I earned a 2.5 and a 2.8. That brought my GPA down a ton. Right now it’s a 3.45… but I know I’m capable of doing well, was just one year of foolish acts that ruined me.
@Niting It may take longer than today. because I looked some threads from previous years, the results came usually later than the day they gave to us

They just came out with the decisions, I got one but I haven’t checked it yet. I’m afraid.
