UCSC, Cal Poly Pomona, or SJSU

I got accepted to these colleges for electrical engineering and can't decide which one I should go to. I recently visited SJSU and was disappointed at how old/ghetto looking the place was, but it has a well known engineering program. I been to UCSC and love the gorgeous campus but am concerned that the engineering program isn't known well enough. Lastly i've always heard cal poly slo was good for engineering but never heard anything about Pomona. Any input will be appreciated, THANKS!!

Cal Poly Pomona is the second best CSU in engineering. I’m going to Cal Poly Pomona for Architecture where I chose it over SLO!

SJSU has a well respected program for engineering, much better than UCSC or Cal Poly Pomona. As for the ghetto feel, SJSU is in downtown San Jose and the outer neighborhood is not affluent. Still, the area is secure and is very close to many companies with outstanding internship opportunities. Don’t worry about safety there, the campus is safe. You can take advantage of all the companies you might have an opportunity to work at as a student intern.

My advice, go to SJSU.

SJSU is ok in engineering. I got accepted there and after open-house visits to UCD, UCI, SJSU, LBSU and CPP; I chose Cal Poly Pomona.

UCSC is beautiful; located in a great city and is part of one of the best post secondary education systems in the world. just sayin…
