UCSC Chance?

copied and pasted from ucr board with minor fixes
UC GPA: 3.71
ACT: 33 (English:34, Math:34, Reading:28, Science:35) ended up being my highest score

AP/HONORS: AP Comp Sci A (4), AP English Composition (2 hahaha), Honors 10th grade english, Honors Computer Science C++, Honors Pre Calc, Honors Physics.
*I got a "C" first semester for physics and tried to make it up by self studying the AP Physics B exam which I scored a 5. Hopefully admissions will see through that grade...

SAT IIs:
Math II: 780
Physics: 760

ECs:
-junior varsity Softball (freshman and sophomore year)
-president of Video Games Club (sophomore and junior year. Will be pres again senior year)
-Robots/Engineering Club (junior year but I quit softball to devote my time to this club)
-Bible Club (freshman, sophomore, and junior)
-NHS (1 year)

Do I have a shot even with that fluke in physics? I got a B second semester because I just didn't really "click" with the teacher in general.

I also attend a very competitive public school in California. It's in the top five in the state.

Senior Schedule:
AP Calc BC
AP Stats
AP Chem
Honors Comp Sci Python
gov/econ
english 4

For essay #1 I talked about how becoming a comedian and the comedy club I first went to in the beginning shaped me to become more confident and helped my self esteem.
For essay #2 I talked about FRC and my experience being a robotics programmer. I talked a lot about how much I love problem solving and a tid bit of how I used concepts from Discrete Math class (I took two math classes junior year) then applied them to the real world of programming.

How much does ucsc look into essays?

I applied as a math major for all UCs except Merced which I applied for computer engineering.

I'm looking into ucsc especially for their physics program which I would totally want to double up in majors if I attend. Like a math and astrophysics or physics duo hahaha.
