Welcome all UCSC applicants. I have started a discussion thread for the 2024 applicants and hopefully admits. Feel free to discuss anything about the application process along with questions about UC Santa Cruz
Once the decisions are posted, please fill out the template on the Stats only thread.
In the 2019 forum for UCSC, the first acceptance reported was on 2/25/19, but there was also chatter that it began late last year because of the CA wildfires. We may begin hearing about early notices within the next week.
The UC’s published their release dates earlier today.
For UCSC freshman, the dates are “Mid-February to Mid-March” while for Transfer students the dates are, “Mid-March through later April”
Would be possible for you to create discussion threads for UC Merced and UC Riverside? I think those up and coming schools need a little love too. I am tracking 9 UC campuses for my son.
I keep hearing about how there is a lack of housing at UCSC. Can anyone speak to that? Are they cutting down on admissions since major problem with fitting everyone in. Also there have been labor protests there this week. I wonder how that has effected classes.
I’m curious if anyone has a general idea of what the lowest GPA and ACT test scores will get you in to UCSC. I know there are several other factors, but I’m trying to manage expectations as all of the UCs are only getting more competitive. I’m asking for an applicant who’s applying as undeclared major.
It says on UCSC’s website that they start mailing out decision packets today. I assume that means they start posting decisions on the portal today as well. Has anyone gotten their decision yet?
