Was it just me that had to fill out SLR or does every new transfer have to do it after they SIR?
I actually haven’t been asked for an SLR myself, I think because I haven’t SIR yet. Was it on your to do list?
Yea, only after I SIR by accident though. I had my SIR reset by the admissions office but I guess the SLR was still in the system or something.
So i looked on my financial aid tab and it said i had no financial aid to view for 2017. I later clicked on the link for estimated cost and it told be total cost, family contribution and 0 for aid. Does this mean i did not get financial aid? Do i have to call in?

Well from what I saw and read from the Facebook app, it seems financial aid packages and offers won’t roll around until the sixth. Can’t be too sure as that app is mostly freshman.

Aw yeah I know what you mean. It’s going to to be my first time on my own as well. Waiting it stressful. I think they haven’t gone through ourban major perhaps?

hey guys, thought I’d join the waiting party it’s so sad, every time I log into my portal I think maybe it will happen and then nope. at least it’s somewhat keeping my mind off the wait of all the other schools I haven’t heard back from yet!!
legal studies major, overall GPA is 3.15. I hope I have a shot at some of these schools because I have a major upward trend. I’m in my upper 20s and have been pursing college for a while but life kept getting in the way. I messed up my grades at first, but for the majority of my classes that I took at my most recent college, my gpa is like a 3.38. I really hope they understand that!!

Oh cool! It looks like I was admitted either yesterday or early today. This is my first UC acceptance ever (rejected by every UC in high school) so I’m a little happy.
GPA: 3.9
Major: Computer Science
TAG: No
IGETC: Will be done by spring
Prereqs: Missing one that wasn’t a “foundation” course
Just canceled my reservation for spring insight on Friday after realizing I have a schedule conflict. I have also decided that if my TAG with Davis was not voided and I am offered admission, I will go there. I’ve been to the UCSC campus before and it is so beautiful but Davis is a better overall fit for me. Best of luck to those who are still awaiting admissions decision and to those who decide to become Banana Slugs, you’re going to love it. All of the SC students I know can’t imagine themselves anywhere else and are very happy.
@bdt2016 If I had to guess, I’d say every school gives more consideration to recent performance. I had a GPA in the low 2 range when I started back up in community college after a 14 year break. Since then I have a 4.0 and have been accepted to every CSU I applied to plus UCSB and UCR, but my overall GPA is still low 3’s.
I’m still waiting on UCSC although there’s basically zero chance I will go there. I just want them to tell me I’m pretty and smart.
@yakattak thanks for your response - your last line made me really laugh. I want them to tell me I’m pretty and smart too!! I’d go there if I don’t get into Cal (I want this about as much I need air) or UCLA, and I might pick it over Davis just to get away from home.
