@IndianCSguy don’t you need above a 3.0 GPA to be considered for UC admissions? At least for in-state. OOS would be 3.4.

Essays: Honestly idk. I’d give myself 8/10

Accepted: so far only sjsu and csuci

Congrats! UCSC is my top choice (well it’s the UC that I have a semi-chance at haha)

Econ majors were enrolled with a gpa of 2.86-3.46.

Haven’t seen an official thread (correct me if i am wrong) so i thought i’d make one.
GPA: 3.347 (After TAU)
Pre reqs: done by spring and a recommended course done too.

EC: part time work and a few clubs.
Personal insight: i think i wrote decent p.I’s since i had overcame difficulties.

  • Volunteer note-taker for my CC’s DSPS - 3hrs a week, 24 weeks per year.
  • Volunteered at Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital for 5 months - 4hrs a week, 23 weeks per year.
  • Worked full time as a manager/cashier 63hrs in the Summer and 30 - 40hrs during the school year since December 2015, still work there now.
  • Honors Enrichment Program at my CC.
  • Choir Director at the church I volunteer at, 2.5hrs a week, 42 weeks per year.
  • Volleyball, haven’t calculated the hours for that quite yet.

is ucsc the earliest one to release decisions? I saw last year’s thread that went all the way to may

@Fallen1000x On the UCSC portal it says beginning March 15 for Freshman and March 17 for Transfers. From the people that I know that applied last year, most of them heard on March 18 (always third Friday in March). So we should be hearing next week hopefully! And yes, as far as the other UC’s are concerned, UCSC tends to always be the first one to notify students.
