Accepted a few hours ago. Posting information for future out of state transfers freaking out about grades like I was.

Hey guys! Happy to say I can finally post on a College Confidential thread ever since reading these since high school.
I’ve been accepted as a Biology major at UCSC! Wanted to post my stats to help other prospective students as these things helped me a lot.
Status: Accepted
GPA: 3.34 (Dropped a little since the TAU so around 3.1 now, will increase again after Spring 2017 grades)
Major: Biology
TAG: UC Davis
ECs: I had a couple recent ones, volunteered with a hospital, was a tutor at my local library, etc
Essays: I’d say they were pretty good, but I’ve also heard that many UCs don’t read transfer essays or take them into consideration, not sure if UCSC is one of them.
Applied: All UCs except Merced and Riverside
Accepted: UCSC, UC Davis
I hope this can help prospective students or people waiting for their admission decisions today. Good luck to everyone and all my potential Banana Slug brethren!

i was reading the 2016 UCSC transfer thread. It looks like every thursday, a new batch are notified! so we may have to wait another week!
