Guys, I wouldn’t worry. I have a 3.93 and I was already accepted into UCSD, but I haven’t heard back from UCSC yet. It might be kind of random.
I was accepted last year with only 53 transferable units, only one major pre req completed, a 3.86 I think, and an incomplete IGETC (missing English). Oh and I’d dropped a 5 unit course during that semester. I was accepted in March too.
I see now the reason behind UCSC’s mascot!
I agree with @jaleshaiker. With the UCs you never know, they could follow a different pattern. But going off the 2016 thread, it looks like in March it was every Thursday morning, but in April things got a bit random.
Update: based off 2016 thread, April was typically every Friday morning with some people scattered during the week.

Supposed to hear from them at 4, but I’m guessing this is due to the email i received concerning my winter grades. I guess I’ll hear in April when I turn those in.

@lexluther96 Yeah I have a 3.8 and haven’t heard from UCSC or UCSD and I’m competitive for both schools. I think it really is extremely random. I don’t think they even want us to find a pattern and that’s the reason why. I think they want to torture us lol.

I guess we shouldn’t say we “were supposed to hear” by a certain time because on the portal it does say “beginning March 17 through April 30”, we were just all hoping to hear by last night.
@Nataliee177 The way they word it is weird though. It’s like decisions go through April yet last names all hear at a certain time in the morning. Making it sound like they’re all coming out in one day. It’s a strange way to word it, imo.
@mysticalforest I totally get you! They sent 2 separate emails out last week and the week before saying prepare for March 17, and having the whole designated time thing (even though they didn’t follow it), totally made it seem like they we’re all coming last night. I’m hoping they shy away from last year’s pattern and some more of us can hear tonight/into this weekend.
Not so sure about UCSC, but the other UCs tend to release most of their admission notifications on Friday afternoons.
I’m trying to refrain from checking today until more people post because each time I see their application review message I die a little inside
I read on their website that they will notify applicants on a “rolling basis” starting march 17th…
so I guess that means that if you turned in your application later, you’ll hear back later ?

Last year I think some people were notified tonight. So we still may have a few more decisions coming in.
