Super nervous as the date is getting closer. I don’t think I’ll get in due to my GPA and I needed to withdrawl my last two semesters.

Does everyone find out on the 17th?? Because it says starting on the 17th until April something they’re releasing decisions. What would cause some people to find out sooner, and others to find out sometime in April?

Yes, I understand that. But just curious as to why not everyone finds out on the 17th.
@astrophilia well thats just the day theyvstart, if they send out thousands of admissions in a day their sites would crash. And sending it altogether would create chaos for the admissions office in terms of phone calls they’d get.
Ahh, makes sense. Hopefully we all find out around the 17th and not later!
@astrophilia Last year the majority of people heard on the first day (will be March 17th for us), and in last year’s thread people we’re saying that the designated time for each last name that is mentioned in the portal was incorrect. Some people scheduled for 4 or 5 AM received their decisions at midnight!
For reference, this is what they emailed me encouraging to check around these times.
"As the admissions notification date approaches, I highly encourage you to check your access to the MyUCSC portal at my.ucsc.edu, where you will be able to view your admissions decision starting on March 17, 2017, according to the following schedule based on the first letter of your last name (all times below are Pacific Daylight Time):
A - C beginning at 12:00 a.m.
D - G beginning at 1:00 a.m.
H - K beginning at 2:00 a.m.
L - N beginning at 3:00 a.m.
O - S beginning at 4:00 a.m.
T - Z beginning at 5:00 a.m."

What happened to UCR?
This is probably nothing…but when you guys login to the portal what happens when you click the UCSC mail? Before it wouldn’t give me an option to continue, now it does. I’ve had to mess with my chrome settings today so I don’t know if that had to do with it.

@loyalfan49 also CS! Kinda off topic but did you ever list out all the classes you’ve taken in the sfsu app like in the in the UC apps? All it asked me was my GPA and my grades for “the golden four”.
@barcafan117 Yeah same. Don’t worry it isn’t impacted and i asked sfsu and they said you just need the golden 4 for then!

Personal Statements: Ehh, could’ve wrote better, but the UCI representative said just answer the questions and don’t stress, so that’s exactly what I did.

I was one out of three students nominated for the Karl S. Pister scholarship from my CCC by my college president! I can’t believe this happened to me. I have an interview next week! I guess this means I got into the school (even though decisions aren’t out yet). xD
