UCSC Fall 2018 transfer

The sooner the better

CC student transferring after 1 year at CSU and 1 year at CCC
GPA: 3.40, hopefully 3.5 by the end of the fall
Major: Marine Biology
IGETC: will be completed by spring
Prerequisites left: Calc II and physics series
ECs: Worked around 20 hours a week as veterinarian assistant , 6 month internship as part of animal care staff at Aquarium of The Bay in SF (around 16 hours a week), Youth Leader at local church, Treasurer of Environmental Action Club
Also applying to: UCSB, UCSD, CSULB, and SDSU

I’m relying mostly on my ECs and my personal statement. My GPA is a result of working during the semester and a lack of motivation at times. I also have some APs from high school, probably won’t matter too much at this point.

@Kobbayy I think with those stats, your chances are pretty good. As long as the fall semester was good–grade-wise, you should be fine!

Just wanted to know how my chances look,

CC student from San Diego in my third year, and here is what i applied with:
GPA: 2.86 after fall 2017
Major: Business Management Economics
IGETC: not completed
Prerequisites: Everything except Calc II
Strong Personal Insight answers: Have been working two jobs the entire time, one at an investment company and the other is a marketing internship. Parents are separated and neither went to college, ill be first in family to finish college.

Just checked my page, and turns out that I got accepted.

@rkhayd Congrats! what were your stats?
