UCSC Fall 2018 transfer

@polywoly it can’t be :o they’re well aware of the fact that most of the people who have applied to ucsc have also applied to other uc’s and will most likely attend the others instead. I’m sure admissions will keep rolling out if they’re aiming for a class of 1,320 and so far have only admitted 1,646.

I still haven’t gotten it either, my last name starts with H.

Is anyone else here a lower-division transfer? I’m a bit nervous because they’ve only accepted 12 lower-div. transfers as of 3/15, and they haven’t given me a decision yet…
I have a GPA of 3.85 and am going in as a Linguistics major from a 4-year college; does anyone have an idea of how that’ll affect the decision?? I haven’t heard anything about how competitive the Ling major is.

@sarahcatherine Yeah I’m a lower division transfer too. I haven’t gotten a decision either and I have a GPA of 3.72. Hopefully I’ll be let in for human biology, but I’m trying to be realistic too with how competitive they’re being in selection

@CSnerd18 I am a CS major still haven’t heard anything. Decent GPA

I am philosophy major haven’t head yet!

According to @transfer20202, its supposedly a rolling release. But it seems like theyre releasing it super super slowly. I hope UCSB isn’t like this either.

@polywoly if last year is to follow, which so far it is, the last person got accepted on May 5th. You’ll have time.

@siarota Hang in there! I think UCSC is going about this in waves and I’m sure your stats will help tremendously!

I know someone who got their acceptance! Like @nsacucdn said, I think they’re releasing them gradually in waves. The impatience is unreal! AND my last name is A-C too

Hoping for the best 3.1 gpa CS major applied to UCR UCSC UCD UCI CSULB, CSUSF, CSULA, CSUF
Accepted to CSULB, CSUSF, CSULA
Do I have pretty good chances for at least one UC?

@adehaini I think your chances of getting into UCR are pretty good. UCSC may be a slight reach but I think that it’s more than possible that you’ll get in. UCI probably not (my friend got denied last year for CS with like a 3.5) and I don’t really know anything about Davis so idk.

But good job getting into CSULB I didn’t get accepted and I had a 3.57 (but I was missing a prereq so hopefully that’s why lol - also for CS).

@adehaini yeah i think you have a great chance for ucr
i saw someone get in for cs with a 2.9!!!
and to add onto @lovelei, for davis it’ll definitely be hard. 2016 had a lower 25th percentile of 3.37 and that jumped to 3.63 so im definitely out of the race for that too
