But… not to my psych major. I missed one pre req sadly which was Pre cal for psych. I knew I was missing this one from the start, but I’m not good at higher level math. Plus I didn’t want to risk with my gpa lol.
However, they did offer me an alt major! So I’m choosing Latin American and Latino Studies/Sociology as my alt.
I noticed some of you on here got the same offer as well! Do they automatically do this with everyone who doesn’t get in to their primary major?
So stupid question but for housing does financial aid cover it ? I only see my financial aid for 2019! If you guys know anything else about housing at ucsc plz lemme know
Anyone have insights on why some applicants get in with major prerequisites done and some don’t (especially when GPAs seem similar)?
@advicefromorion I’m curious to hear why you finished IGETC if it wasn’t required. did you switch majors recently, or? And do they tell you to take discrete math this summer, or can you wait till you get there??
Just trying to figure it out. I’ve got a kid aiming for UCSC in Applied Physics but he has at least another year and a half of major prerequisites first. Apologies if this isn’t the place to ask these questions!
Good luck everyone!
@letmein123 I’m curious too. I’m seriously debating whether to appeal UCD’s rejection and wait with fingers crossed or just SIR to UCSC. Idk I just feel in my gut that I’d enjoy UCD more because they have more things pertaining to my interests like a ballet company, but at the same time UCSC isn’t bad either and is in a cool area plus is closer to home so urgehgrhrgrhrgr decisions.
@coolskeleton95 you can withdraw your SIR if you changed your but you won’t get your deposit back. I got waitlisted by UCSB and according to their website, they’ll extend the SIR for a week for waitlisted students after they’ve been admitted, same case goes to UC Davis I’d assume. Because the deadline for SIR is June 1st but the appeal decision & waitlist decisions usually comes out after that
@coolskeleton95 At this point im done with ucd’s rejection. Ive heard even if u get on their waitlist u will get rejected. I just wanna accept an offer soon so im sticking with ucsc which actually cared about my application. But if u do appeal i truly hope the best for you. I just couldnt believe ucd would reject me. I saw people getting accepted with a 2.3!!! I put so much effort in and now im like im glad i have ucsc to go to. Good luck to you tho
guys… i’m like freaking out rn. I’m deciding between colorado state university in fort collins or go to UCSC… what do you guys think?? I’m a neurobiology major if that helps
HI FRIENDS! Might not be the best place BUT!! Looking for potential roommates for UCSC (even though I’m only 70% decided). For ref I’m a 20 year old Asian girl, PM if you’re interested and we can go into more detail :3
