I was waitlisted my major is biology and gpa was around 3.4 I believe
Keep us updated! You should get in, last year the middle half of transfer GPAs for your major was 3.03 - 3.58, but transfer applications are up 12% this year :C Are there any major reqs you’re missing? Did your portal update today?
I’m finishing my last two pre reqs this spring semester so I would have all of them done by the time I transfer. I checked the portal today like 15 minutes ago and it was updated
Oh I just checked mine, we’re waitlist buddies! … Note to everyone: You won’t have a “notification” on your portal, have to click on the application status
Hopefully we get it in 🥲

Have u ever seen people got accepted uci after get rejected or waitlisted from ucsc?
Not sure about that, but a lot of my friends who applied as freshmen were rejected from UCI and got into Berkeley, so anything’s possible I guess. How are your essays?
To second this, I have 2 friends who got into Cal and didn’t get into Davis
Anything is possible. None of the schools have any correlation with each other and one closed door doesn’t mean another one won’t open somewhere else!
Any CS majors hear back?
Yup, waitlisted. Two of my friends were rejected unfortunately.
wanted to add my stats

I really think my essays and ECs are what got me into UCSC. I applied as 2 different majors to different schools and barely even mentioned math (the one I applied to UCSC with) in my personal insight questions. I got a C+ in a math class (though not a major requirement), had many Ws on my transcript, including some in major reqs, and I was missing like 3 major reqs by the time I applied. To any future applicants reading this, make sure you try extremely hard on those PIQs and involve yourself in many different extracurricular activities. You have to convince them you are ready for Upper Div coursework. Sometimes mediocre grades can be overlooked.
