@nerdymelon not sure. From previous year threads I understand that they update the portal first before sending the email. Last year I guess they rolled out after midnight.
SIP is a great program for people interested in getting into the research field. Best of luck to all applicants!
good luck everyone for decisions tomorrow! : )
I applied last year and there was no email, you just have to check the portal. I checked mine first thing in the morning so it could be very early
are they released yet?
Not for me @sdough, does everyone else still see the applications they submitted in the portal?
Still isn’t up for me. That’s weird, because last year they were released at around midnight.
which web link do you check the status? same one used for “apply”?
The website says that the results would be posted by 5:00 P.M. today.
@veeyes yes, it’s application portal link.
will they send an email as well or do you need to keep checking the portal? Also does anyone know if it will show up at the top of the page when u log in or somewhere else? Thanks and good luck to everyone
anyone any change in their status? I can only see the application right now.
Which research areas did you guys apply to?
Psychology, Comp Sci, and Computational Media. No changes on portal yet
Anyone know if they send an email as well
I noticed on a previous SIP thread that there was a Google Doc with the names of the tentative intern assignments:
http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/1878362-uc-santa-cruz-sip-2016-p5.html
Does anyone know if we have something like that for this year? I’m dying to know lol
@jerrysuwu last year they did not send an email, you just have to check the portal. @nerdymelon I believe that the Google Doc is just something one of the accepted interns made to show the rest of the applicants, not something SIP releases
@tofudeer thanks for the help… also does anyone know if they tell you if you got rejected? I was reading last year’s thread and people were saying they don’t email you if u get rejected or update on portal
Actually, last year once you were accepted, you could access a document (you get the link from the application portal) where they list everyone’s partners and projects. Best of luck to ya’ll! :’)
Are the results supposed to be posted in the Part I page?
Did it come out?
