Hello, I was accepted to UC Santa Cruz, CSU Long Beach, San Jose State University, and Cal Poly Pomona as an electrical engineering/computer engineering major. Which college is best for my major putting aside costs? I want to graduate in 4 years and not stay longer than 4 years. Or should I just go to community college and transfer elsewhere? Thanks
CPP is the only one to offer a 4 year graduation guarantee but, a motivated, flexible student can make it through all of them in 4 years - less if you are starting with lots of ECs.
CC+ transfer is a riskier proposition, especially for engineering.
All four are excellent universities.
UCSC as a more “alternative” vibe, but will be more flexible for your major and has better graduation rates.
CSU LB is a strong CSU, with a wide variety of majors.
CPP has the 4-year guarantee but is less flexible if you need to change majors.
SJSU is lower-ranked but is well-located and has silicon valley recruiters.
