UCSC vs UWash vs UIUC vs Purdue

Hello!

I am very conflicted on which of the following schools to attend this fall: UIUC, purdue, Uwash, and UCSC. I have been admitted into a math major for all schools except purdue. At purdue, I have been admitted into data science. I am honestly very undecided on what I would actually like to pursue in college. I could do anything from CS to med. I am hoping to take the first year to explore and then decide for certain what i’d like to pursue in my second year. math has always been an interest and a strrength for me, which is why that is my current path; however, that is subject to change. considering that i may not pursue and could do premed or any other stem-related majors, which school would be the best option for me. money is not too much of an issue at this point, but flexibility is. I know that Uwash offers that flexiblity, but I am afraid I won’t get admitted into the program i want in my second year because almost everyone is admitted undecalred. I was also wondering are uiuc and purdue strong in all stem-related majors or only engineering and cs. Please let me know! thanks for the help

Where are you in-state?

UIUC is strong in all STEM but tough to get in to engineering and almost impossible to get in to CS. Tough to get in to CS and engineering at UW as well. As PU, everyone has to meet certain criteria to get in to engineering/CS, I believe, but it isn’t as difficult, I believe.
If you’re pre-med, you need a major anyway.
